September 2014 – Long Valley Books: The Photographer’s Guide to the Peak District

I was delighted when Ellen Bowness from Long Valley Books contacted me. She had already published two wonderful photography guides for the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The guides have been getting some excellent reviews. Being a graphic designer, I was impressed by the clarity and layout. It was also good to see some very talented photographers I know through social media featuring.

Ellen’s next project was a Peak District Guide to add to the series. I’m pleased have supplied three images for the book.

The book is available to buy now from Amazon. Buy from Amazon.

You can read more about the series at: Long Valley Books.

October 2013. Photographs published in BBC Wildlife Magazine, November issue.

I’m delighted that my image taken in Yarncliff Wood appears in BBC Wildlife Magazine’s November issue. the image was taken one year ago today when, after starting the morning at Curbar Edge for sunrise, we visited Padley Gorge and Yarcliff Wood. I had to work quickly to capture the sun’s rays catching the remaining morning mist.

May 2013. Photographs published in Peak District: Moors and Tors

I recently worked with Northern Eye Books to provide a series of photographs for their new guide book. Peak District: Moors and Tors written by Dennis Kelsall includes 10 lovely walks in the Peak District.

The variety of locations covered showed me I still had a lot of work to do to cover the Peak District with my photography. I was able to provide photographs covering five of the walks:

  • Kinder Scout
  • The Wool Packs
  • Lose Hill and Mam Tor
  • Whinstone Lee Tor
  • Big Moor

My photograph from Kinder Scout features on the front cover. The book can be bought from all good bookshops.
